Vice Chancellor Federal University Otuoke, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko has advised the leadership of National Union of Ogbia Students Worldwide to explore the advantage of the University situated in Ogbia Kingdom rather than foment trouble.
Prof. Aluko said this while addressing the leadership of the body when they paid him a courtesy visit in his office at Federal University Otuoke.
In his address, the President, National Union of Ogbia Students Worldwide, Comrade Obi Jacob Friday commended the Vice Chancellor for his outstanding and laudable qualities.
“The student community and youths deemed it fit to appreciate you for the tall objectives and goals that your administration vigorously pursue for betterment of this cherished University domiciled in Ogbia Kingdom”, the president remarked.
The Students body however urged the Vice Chancellor to give priority to Ogbia indigenes and Bayelsa State in general in offeringof admission in spite of limited spaces available to close the academic gap that has existed within the locality over the years.
The University Boss in his response noted that the University being a young Institution is trying to make its mark,added that efforts are being made to project the image of the University positively.
Professor Aluko who said the University has given attention to Ogbia communities in matters of admissions and employment,implored the students to shun restivenessand focus activities that would develop Ogbia and Bayelsa State at large.
