Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) has approved the nomination of a senior lecturer of the Federal University Otuoke, Mr. John Kalama as a member of its corporate Affairs and Public Relations Committee.
The governing council being the highest decision making body of the Institute nominated Mr. Kalama into the committee as a result of his contributions to the Bayelsa State Chapter of NIM.
In a chat with the media team of FUO, Mr. Kalama said he intends to use the position to attract development partners to Federal University Otuoke in order to compliment management’s effort.
The senior lecturer in the Department of Political Sciences and Strategic Studies said the terms of reference given to the committee are to develop and formulate policies and strategies that will enhance the corporate identity and image of the Institute, to determine appropriate plans and programmes for public awareness of the ideals, values, functions and activities of the Institute.
Other areas are; to develop a workable frame work and strategy for regular interface between the Institute and members, particularly corporate members, with the goal of achieving deeper participation in the activities, programmes and publications of the Institute.
The Nigerian Institute of Management has re-affirmed its confidence in the committee members as it expects to benefit immensely from their wealth of experience, talent and resources.
