Team leader and Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) State Coordinator in Bayelsa State, Mr. Oboh Joseph has lauded efforts of the Federal University Otuoke in ensuring a hitch-free Computer Based Test (CBT) hosted by the Institution.
Speaking at the end of the two-week exercise, Oboh was quick to commend the effort of the staff of the University who participated in the exercise describing them as being dedicated.
According to him,” the staff of the Institution are result oriented, and have also shown us the reason to be partners in progress”.
He noted that the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) personnel of the University have demonstrated team spirit not being driven by cash considerations in the execution of their duties, but believe in quality service delivery which according to him will go a long way in promoting the cooperate image of the Institution.
The JAMB representative commended the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko for making computers and logistics available for the exercise.
In her comments, head, JAMB Biometric Verification, Mrs. Juliet Anakwe applauded the serenity of the environment provided by Federal University Otuoke for the CBT while urging the University authorities to expand the E-library to accommodate more candidates in subsequent exercises.
Mrs. Anakwe while commenting on the exercise said JAMB came up with the CBT to eradicate examination malpractice and encourage speed and accuracy among candidates.
She further commended the ICT staff of the University for their cooperation throughout the exercise, positing that with the team spirit seen among the staff, the University will grow significantly.
Among the candidates who spoke to FUO Media team were Miss Gift Krama and Mr. Michael Victor. The duo commended the cooperation of the invigilators and conduciveness of the environment. They however urged JAMB to fully implement CBT to check examination irregularities that have bedeviled the country.
You will recall that the two-week exercise started on 17th, May 2014 and ended on 31st May 2014, after the paper pencil based test (PPT) and Dual based test (DBT) previously held on April 12th 2014.
