Vice Chancellor Federal University Otuoke, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko was on Saturday March 21, 2015 honoured alongside other Alumni of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), with the OAU “Distinguished Alumni Award”by the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSCHE), at the premier edition of the Chemical Engineering Annual Lecture.
The event organized by the student chapter of NSCHE OAU is to recognize the enormous contributions of some Alumni of the Department of Chemical Engineering OAU who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavor.
The premier edition of the Ife Chemical Annual Lecture was delivered by Prof. Mobolaji Aluko on “Funding Chemical Engineering Education in Modern Day Nigeria: Challenges” in honour of Prof. S.A Sanni.
Prof. Mobolaji Aluko holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University in 1976.He is currently the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Otuoke and also a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Howard University, Washington D.C.
The Vice Chancellor has research interests in Mathematical Modeling, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Electronic Materials Processing, Energy Systems, Information Technology and Education Pedagogy.
According to the students, the award was meant for some Alumni who have contributed in the advancement of Chemical Engineering across the globe.
This is the latest in the line of awards bagged by Prof. Mobolaji Aluko, who is also a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers.
