Bayelsa State Government has handed-over completed Buildings to the Management of Federal University Otuoke, to support its infrastructural development.
The handing over was done by the State Governor ably represented by the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Special Duties Governor’s Office, Hon. Fred Obua
Presenting the keys of the 9 twin 3 bedroom flats to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko, Hon. Fred Obua urged the University to make judicious use of the facility while expressing the desire of the state government to support FUO in every possible way.
In a chat with FUO Media the VC, Prof. Aluko thanked the Bayelsa State Government for the gesture, describing it as laudable.
He added that the management of FUO had been expecting the handover for a while now, and is happy that the D-day has finally come.
Prof. Aluko disclosed that plans have been made to use the buildings for multiple purposes which include; Medical Centre, Bookshop, Store, Senior Staff Quarters, Sports and Recreational Centre and Accommodation for Staff on essential duties.
The buildings, referred to as “Red Roof Buildings is located at the main campus of the University.
