About 2,900 candidates are participating in the ongoing 2015 – 2016 Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (PUTME) Computer Based Test Screening Exercise of Federal University Otuoke.
Commenting on the exercise, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Mobolaji Aluko lauded the exercise which according to him has improved compared to previous ones.
Prof. Aluko noted that the University adopted JAMB’s CBT method to check examination irregularities.
According to him, the University has the facilities to accommodate over 400 candidates in it’s Computer Laboratory thereby making the exercise convenient both for the candidates and the Institution.
He posited that all machineries were put in place to ensure a hitch free exercise assuring that results will be out as soon as possible.
Also speaking to FUO Media, the Registrar of the Institution, Mr. David Suowari commended the ICT Unit of the University for standing up to challenges and making the CBT a reality.
He noted that the exercise is the first CBT for Post – UTME Screening in the University.
The 2015 – 2016 Post – UTME Screening Exercise will last for 3-days with first choice candidates who chose FUO seating for the screening examination Thursday August 13, 2015 and Friday August 14, 2015 while other candidates will write the Saturday August 15, 2015 examination.
Invigilators and technical staff of the University were on ground to ensure a smooth exercise. Some candidates interviewed gave thumbs-up to the well ordered nature of the examination.
