Two members have been elected by the Congregation into the search committee for a new Vice Chancellor of Federal University Otuoke.
They are Prof. Godwin Ovuworie of Faculty of Engineering and Technology for teaching staff and Mr. Kenigbolo Fidelis of Department of Physical Planning for non-teaching staff.
The duo who were returned unopposed are to join two representatives of the senate to search for a replacement of the pioneer Vice Chancellor whose tenure will end in February, 2016.
Speaking, the chairman of the occasion, Prof. Bio Nyanayo who represented the Vice chancellor, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko commended members of the Congregation for their peaceful disposition to elect their representatives. He said the exercise is in line with the stipulation of appointment of a Vice Chancellor in any University in Nigeria.
On his part the Registrar Mr. David Suowari urged the elected to take the assignment very seriously.
He said the whole exercise will be a nullity if this process is not followed.
