The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Otuoke, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko says the University’s Magazine, “FUO DRUM” will serve as a veritable tool to propagate the activities of the new institution.
Prof. Aluko said this Wednesday at the unveiling ceremony of the Maiden Edition of FUO DRUM the University’s News Bulletin.
The VC who commended the Editorial Board for a job well done said the Magazine will be used to disseminate information about the Institution.
In his goodwill message, the Registrar, Mr. David Suowari noted the importance of Magazine in the University noting that the publication is expected to document events of FUO.
Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Philomina Ejele also commended the quality of the publication calling on the University to maintain the high standard in subsequent editions.
Earlier in her speech the Head, Publications Unit, Mrs. Enobong Etukakpan lauded the efforts of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Aluko for making the publication a reality.
Mrs. Etukakpan who spoke on the essence of the magazine to the university said the publication will serve as a vital PR tool to project the image of the university.
The 59 paged magazine is high in quality with an ambience of the University colours, it is rich in content covering all aspects of the University activities.
The name and logo of the Magazine depict the local Ogbia talking drum used to disseminate information among host communities.
