All Twelve programmes of the two (2) Faculties of Federal University Otuoke have accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Results of the accreditation exercise imply that graduates of FUO are qualified to participate in the compulsory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme after graduation.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko disclosed this at a meeting with students to constitute the first caretaker committee of the Students Union leadership recently.
All six (6) programmes in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences got full accreditation, and in Faculty of Sciences, department of Mathematics, Computer and Physical Science recieved full accreditation while five other programmes earned interim accreditation.
Reacting to the development, Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Philomena Ejele thanked Management and staff of the Faculty for their efforts which she said enabled the Faculty to obtain full accreditation for all its six programmes.
Monday 16th through Friday 20th November, 2015, Federal University Otuoke played host to the accreditation team from NUC, who reviewed different programmes within the University.
