The Governing Council Federal University Otuoke has closed ranks with its Chancellor, the Emir of Lafia His Royal Highness (Dr.) Isa Mustapha Agwai I (CFR) on the effective administration of the University.
The team accompanied by principal officers made the move during a courtesy visit to the Emir in his palace. Speaking during the visit, leader of the team and chairman of council, Honourable Damishi Sango thanked the Chancellor for the opportunity to visit adding that the forum was necessary in order to foster a cordial working relationship with the Chancellor.
He intimated the Emir with affairs of council and enjoined him to bring to bear his wealth of experience in the administration of Federal University Otuoke.
The Chancellor, HRH Isa Agwai welcomed the team promising to use his 25 years experience as a chancellor and connections to build an FUO that will be well placed amongst its peers.
Earlier in his remark the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko gave the Chancellor brief statistics on FUO, while expressing optimism that the Emir will contribute build on the legacies laid by his administration.
Highlight of the occasion was exchange of gifts between the University and the Emirate followed by a group photograph.
On the visit were all external and internal council members, principle staff of the University, Head, General Duties Unit and the Public Relations Officer FUO.
