Members of Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) Federal University Otuoke Chapter have been urged by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Seth Accra Jaja to be good ambassadors of their Institute.
Prof. Accra Jaja made this call when the Institute paid him a courtesy visit in his office. He asked them to apply their management skills positively in their various units and ensure that other staff without their skills are enlightened or trained by the Institute.
Vice Chancellor Accra Jaja who is a professor of management, further stated that proper application of management techniques makes administration easier.
He added that Management Sciences demands factuality and variability in the process of administration adding that he intends to bring to bear his knowledge and experience during his tenure as Vice Chancellor in FUO.
According to him “I will only do what is factual and verifiable as management Sciences demands. As Vice Chancellor I will not fail to use all my experiences in the discharge of my duties and please do not relent to call my attention on anything you think I’m doing wrongly”.
Speaking earlier during the visit the president of NIM FUO Chapter and leader of the team Mr. Sule Aliyu congratulated the Vice Chancellor on his appointment and thanked him for granting the Institute’s request to visit.
Mr. Sule gave the Vice Chancellor a brief on the activities of the group in the University and pledged the support and collaboration of NIM to his administration.
“We at NIM have been contributing our quota in different ways to the growth and success of our University and we want to notify you of our desire to continue by identifying and giving support to your administration” he said.
The NIM president urged the Vice Chancellor to do his best and be wary of distracters while expressing the institutes optimism and confidence that the new administration will succeed.
Also present at the occasion were other executives of the Institute and members of the Media and Public Relations Unit led by the head Ms. Mercy Ekott.
