PROFESSOR STEPHEN ONYEJIUWAKA IBE
BRIEF PROFILE
Professor Stephen Onyejiuwaka Ibe holds Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Physics (Applied Geophysics) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2008 and 2000 respectively. He has B.Sc (ed) in Physics from University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1992.
He was the Head of Department of Physics (February, 2016 – September, 2021) and Head of Department of Mathematics and Statistics (September, 2021 – January, 2024), Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. At present, he is the Head, Computer Science and Informatics and Cyber Security (January, 2024 – Date) of the Institution.
He is a Professor of Applied Geophysics in the Department of Physics, Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa state, Nigeria. He has published several articles in the field of Geoscience both in National and International Journals. In addition, he has authored some textbooks in Physics and Geoscience. He has attended several National and International Conferences and Workshops.
Professor Stephen O. Ibe is a member of Nigeria Institute of Physics (NIP), Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and Astronomical Society of Nigeria (ASN).

Geophysical Investigation of Hydrocarbon Potentials of Niger Delta Basin, Chad Basin, and the Nigeria’s inland Basins.
