Research Interest
My research interests lie primarily in the areas of Statistical Modeling in general and Time Series Analysis and Forecasting in particular.
My dissertation work focused on comparing a linear stationary process: a first order moving average process and nonlinear process: a simple purely diagonal bilinear time series.
While my research interests have gravitated towards problems in time series analysis (inference, estimation, prediction and general properties of time series models), i still have a strong interest in the application of extreme value theory in my approach to solving problems in time series analysis. Linear time series models with non-normal innovations have also been frequent objects of study in my research.
Finally, i also wish to say that i have interest in distribution theory- where i have derived the distributions of some density functions under various transformations and data analysis – where i have applied sound statistical techniques to analyse socio-economic, economic and environmental data
