Brief History of the Department
The Department of Chemical Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics was established in the 2023/2024 academic session under the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science with Dr. John Chimerenka Ifenkwe as the pioneer coordinator of the department. It is a hub of innovation and excellence in the field of medical diagnostics. With a focus on understanding the biochemical processes that underlie diseases, this department plays a crucial role in research and providing knowledge about the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of a wide range of medical conditions.
