APPOINTMENT OF REGISTRAR, FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OTUOKE
The Governing Council of Federal University Otuoke, at its 22nd meeting held on September 20, 2024, approved the appointment of Mrs. Andabi Benita Amangi-Edomo, as Substantive Registrar of the University. This followed the recommendation of the Council Search Committee, which interviewed five(5) applicants for the post. The appointment takes effect from September 20, 2024.
Mrs. Amangi-Edomo, who holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Port-Harcourt, started her career in University administration in 2004, with the Niger Delta University. In 2012, She transferred her services to Federal University Otuoke. Prior to her appointment, Mrs. Amangi-Edomo rose to the rank of Deputy Registrar in 2018 and has served as Special Assistant to the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Teddy C. Adias as well his Predecessor, Prof. Seth Acrra Jaja.
Mrs. Amangi-Edomo is from Bayelsa State and the first female to be appointed Registrar of the University. She is happily married and enjoys reading, playing volleyball, farming and watching wild-life documentaries.
