The National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) has elected its first executive members of Federal University Otuoke.
 
Members of NAAT are all Academic Technologists who work in Faculties of Science and Engineering Laboratories within the University.

The Rotaract Club of Federal University Otuoke has organized its 1st International Conference on research and Development with a lecture on “Why do we reinforce Violence? Sensitizing on peaceful behavior as a strategy for Conflict Prevention in the Niger Delta Region”
 
Speaking on the topic, the guest Lecturer Dr. Raimi Lasisi gave a background of the Niger Delta region as a strategic economic interest for International Oil Companies (IOCs), Nigeria and the World.
 

NUJ Advocates Establishment of Press Club at FUO

Radio Bayelsa Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has advocated for the establishment of a press club in Federal University Otuoke to give room for students to freely express their opinion and groom them in Journalism. The Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Tonye Yemoleigha disclosed this when he and other executive members paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor Federal University Otuoke, Pfof. Seth Accra Jaja in his office.
