BRIEF PROFILE
Dr. Benefit Onu academic proficiencies start from Youth Oil and Gas Training Programme sponsored by SPDC Nigeria, he also acquired professional Entrepreneurial Development certificate alongside with a Diploma in Business Administration (University of Calabar), BSc. Geography/Environmental Management (Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State), MSc. Environmental management (University of Glamorgan, UK), PhD in Environmental and Waste Management (University of South Wales, UK). Dr. Onu have obtained professional training certificates and experience in Geology, Hydrogeology, Hydrology Pollution Management and Leachate Monitoring from The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management United Kingdom.
Dr. Onu is currently working as a lecturer in Biology/Environmental Management and Toxicology Department, Faculty of Sciences, Federal University Otuoke. Dr. Onu previously worked in Azikel Group Limited. He had lectured Safety, Health and Environmental Risk Management Module at the Master of Science Degree level and Environmental Engineering and Management Module at the Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Science Degree levels in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science, University of South Wales, Wales, United Kingdom (2010 to 2014). He had likewise worked as a Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Knowledge Base Facilitator. A training program sponsored by the World Bank for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) (2006 to 2007).
He had computer experience in Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Project, SPSS and Netsuite.
