DR. COLLINS C. CHIEMEKE
BRIEF PROFILE
Dr. Collins C. Chiemeke is the current Sub-Dean and Associate Professor. He graduated from Physics Department, Ambrose Alli University (AAU), from 1997 to 2001, and proceeded for his post graduate programme at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria from 2003 to 2010 that climaxed into a PhD Degree in Physics Department. He is a renowned Geophysicist that have worked extensively in the areas of 2D and 3D Seismic reflection and refraction, Seismic Tomography, Electrical resistivity Imaging and Tomography , Multichannel Analysis of Surface, Waves and Thermal resistivity method. He has thought physics and geophysics courses at all levels. He is a member Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP), Nigerian Mining and Geoscience Society (NMGS), National Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) and Society of Exploration Geophysicist (SEG).
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Using elastic and dynamic parameters to predict the probable effect of an earthquake or a very large explosion on site, pipeline safety and environmental remediation using geophysical method.
