Brief Profile
Divine Joe, earned his PhD in Theatre Arts at Imo State University Owerri, Nigeria after receiving a Master of Art Degree in Theatre and Film Studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Preceding the aforementioned is his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from Imo State University, Owerri in 2012. Motivated by the vision of combining theory with practice in effective teaching of film, he undertook a professional training at the AfriArts Media Services Owerri, where he obtained a Certificate in Video Editing. Divine Joe went further to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Open University of Nigeria. He is also a Certified Teacher with a Certificate of Registration from the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). He is an avid researcher in Film, Media, cultural studies and Theatre Arts with publications in reputable national and international journals. Divine Joe currently holds the position of a lecturer at the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, Federal University Otuoke, Nigeria.
