DR. DOUYE VICTOR ZIGE
BRIEF PROFILE
Douye Victor Zige obtained his B.Sc. in Biological science (Microbiology option) from the Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa state, Nigeria. He holds M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology &Parasitology (Unilag) and Ph.D. in Medical & Public Health Microbiology (NDU). He is currently a Lecturer I and a member of Nigerian Society for Microbiology (NSM), American Society for Microbiology (ASM), National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTs) and Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN). His career in Microbiology is diverse, cutting across industry and academia.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Involvement of inflammatory Dendritic Cells (DCs) Regulated by Interleukin-4 Receptor in Signaling, Replication and Dissemination of Leishmania major infection. His research is focused on Infectious diseases associated with the family Enterobacteriaceae based on molecular and analytical techniques
