Dr. Eweke E. Emmanuel


Ezuwobomude Emmanuel Eweke is a Lecturer in the Department of History and International Studies, Federal University Otuoke, Nigeria since 2017. He has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in African History from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Port-Harcourt, Nigeria in 2023. Ezuwobomude obtained his Master of Art (MA) in 2011 as well as Bachelor of Art (BA) in History and Diplomacy in 2007 from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Nigeria respectively. He has a postgraduate diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Port-Harcourt, Port-Harcourt, Nigeria in 2019. His research interests intersects around Maritime and Environmental History, Peace and Conflict Studies as well as Niger Delta Historiography.

This high-flying scholar has several academic prizes and recognitions to his credit. They include; Chancellor’s Prize for Best Graduating Student in History and Diplomacy Department (2007); Departmental Prize for Best Graduating Student in History and Diplomacy (2007); Alagoa Domo’s Prize for Best Graduating Student in History (2007) amongst others.

He has published articles in learned international and national journals as well as books of reading. Ezuwobomude is a member of several scholarly and social organizations which includes; Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN), Faculty of Arts and Humanities Scholars Association of Nigeria Universities (FAHSANU), Digital Humanities Association of Nigeria (DHAN) as well as Ogobiri Youth Association. He is a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
