Dr. Franca Okumo
Dr Franca Okumo is a lecturer at the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. She holds a PhD in Linguistics (Phonology) from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Her MA and PhD thesis focused on the Phonological structures of Delta Igboid
She is currently the editor of the departmental journal, OLACORE.
Her major research interests are Phonetics and Phonology and Speech Training/ Public Speaking and Communication Disorders. Her Publications in both international and national peer-reviewed journals span across Phonetics /Phonology, Child Language and Communication Disorders.
RESEARCH INTERESTS: Phonetics and Phonology (with particular interest in the Phonological structures of Igboid languages), Speech Training/ Public Speaking, Language Acquisition (Child Language Disorders), and General Linguistics.
