Dr. John Chimerenka Ifenkwe is a highly accomplished and respected professional in the field of Chemical Pathology. With a Ph.D in the subject from Imo State University, an MSC in chemical pathology from Rivers State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of Nigeria.
Dr. Ifenkwe is also an associate in chemical pathology with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria. This demonstrates his commitment to upholding the highest professional standards in his field.
Dr. Ifenkwe has dedicated his career to the study of the effects of toxic substances on human health. His work has shed light on the health risks associated with exposure to pollutants from oil and gas production, particularly in vulnerable communities near extraction sites. His research interests and publications on this important topic have helped to raise awareness of the health risks associated with environmental pollution and to inform policy decisions aimed at protecting public health.
Dr. Ifenkwe is also actively involved in education and training. As the coordinator of the Department of Chemical Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics at the Federal University Otuoke, he plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of professionals in his field.
