Brief Profile
Abdulsalam, Ridwan Rotimi has his Ph.D. in view. He is a staff and Lecturer at the Department of Biology, Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. His academic career started at Crescent Nursery and Primary School, 1004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria for his first school leaving certificate. He attended the prestigious Nigerian Military School, Zaria, Kaduna State for his Secondary education (SSCE). University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria for his First Degree (BSc. Applied Zoology) and University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria for his Masters Degree (MSc. Ecology and Environmental Biology). He is member of several associations, societies and NGOs: Zoological Society of Nigeria (ZSN), Forum of Toxicologists (FONTOX), Society of Toxicologists (SOT), Association of Tropical Biology and Conservation (ATBC), Pangolin Conservation Guild and Working Group Nigeria (PCGWN), Worldwide Fund (WWF) and Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) etc. His areas of academic and research interest include biology, zoology, biotoxicity, toxicity, climate change, pollution, wildlife, biological/environmental degradation or monitoring, conservation and sustainability. He is presently focusing on bioaccumulation, biotoxicity (at the moment avian and bio-toxicity) and environmental pollution.
