MR. CHRISTIAN KOSISOCHUKWU ANUMUDU

BRIEF PROFILE

Christian Anumudu is a Commonwealth Scholar and a Food/Industrial Microbiologist with over 10 years teaching experience. His career in Microbiology is diverse, cutting across industry and academia (teaching and research). He is a Lecturer II and a member of American Society for Microbiology (ASM), Nigerian Society for Microbiology (NSM), International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), Society for Applied Microbiology (SFM), Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN), Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NISFT) and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).

 

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Mycotoxins, Bacteriocins, Food fermentation, Food Security, Food Safety. His research is focused on natural methods of food preservation using antimicrobial peptides and the detection and inactivation of diverse mycotoxins in foods. He has interests in food microbiology and safety, ensuring global food security and availability for all and limiting food fraud with the aid of technology and resilient policy development.
