PROF. (MRS.) AYEBAEMI IBUTUME SPIFF

BRIEF PROFILE

Prof. (Mrs.) Spiff obtained a Ph. D in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan in 1973. She completed her B. Sc. program in Chemistry from the same institution in 1963. She became a professor in 2006. Prof. Spiff had extensive teaching and administrative experience spanning several decades. In addition, she is a member of several professional bodies and other voluntary organizations. She has also held several public appointments. Prof. Spiff has supervised more than 20 M.Sc. and 10 Ph.D. Students. She published 65 articles in refereed journals and has co-authored three books. She loves gardening, singing, and walking.

Environmental Chemistry/Environmental Pollution, Organic Metal Chelating/Complexes for extracting Transition Metals, Medicinal Plants of Southern Nigeria, their Photochemistry and Related Biological/Pharmaceutical Activities (Pharmacognosy), Alkaloids of the Menispermaceae and Annonaceae Families.Molecular Haematology, Haematology of Infectious Diseases, Blood Transfusion Safety and Alternatives.
