Brief History of the Department

The department of Physics was created in 2016 out of the defunct Department of Mathematical, Computer and Physical Sciences.

The department currently runs a four (4) year programme that leads to the award of B.Sc. degree in Physics. The programme, in the first three years provides fundamental knowledge and deepens the students understanding of Physics. In the last year, it introduces them to techniques and tools of research, develops in them the spirit of enquiry which launches the students into various areas specializations which enables them make their choices.
